Only what you type into a form here, for the thing you asked for:

• Online orders and holiday preorders: your name, phone number, email if you give it, pickup time and any notes.
• Shipped orders: the name, address and phone number the package goes to.
• Catering requests: your name, email, phone, organization, event date and details, the venue address, and any dietary notes.
• Class sign-ups: your name, email, phone and seats.
• Job applications: your name, email, phone, the job you want, your experience and availability.
• Driver sign-ups: your name, email, phone, vehicle, license plate and availability.

Payments happen on Square’s secure checkout page, not on this site. We never see or store your card number. Square’s own privacy policy covers what you enter there.

We count visits so we know which pages people use: the page, the site that sent you, whether you’re on a phone, tablet or computer, and your approximate city, which comes from your internet address.

We don’t store your internet address. To count a visit once, we keep a scrambled code made from it that changes every day and can’t be turned back into the address. There are no ad trackers on this site and no tracking cookies.

To make your order and have it ready, to answer your catering request and send your quote, receipts and reminders, to sign you up for a class, and to review your job or driver application.

We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it with anyone for their advertising.

We text you only if you check the box asking for texts, and only about your order or request: a quote that’s ready, a pickup reminder, that kind of thing. How many depends on your order.

Reply STOP to stop, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Your phone number and your permission to text are never shared with anyone else for marketing.

A few companies handle information for us, only to do these jobs:

• Square: payments, orders, receipts and gift cards.
• Vercel and Neon: run this website and store its records.
• FedEx, and Shippo with the carriers it uses: shipping labels and tracking for shipped orders.
• Our email and texting services, to send your receipts, quotes and reminders.

We may also share information if the law requires it.

We keep order and catering records as long as we need them to run the business and keep our books. Want to see what we have about you, fix it, or have it deleted? Email info@boxcarbbqtx.com and we’ll take care of it.

This site isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
